Prunes help prevent fractures and osteoporosis

When it comes to improving bone health, Florida State University researchers have just discovered a simple proactive solution to help prevent fractures and osteoporosis: eating prunes!

Researchers, who carried out double blind randomised controlled studies on 55 women over 12 months, suggest that the ability of prunes to suppress the rate of bone resorption/breakdown and hence protect the bone, is the key to the prunes success.
